Exposure box power supply cover

Regular price $60.00 $0.00

We've modified the design of our aluminum exposure enclosures by adding a vented cover for the interior left side of the unit. This cover keeps all the wiring from the power inlet and the power supply hidden behind a solid aluminum 3-sided box. All of our new units have this feature and we had to increase the price slightly to accommodate the additional material and fabrication costs.

For those who have purchased units from us in the past, we are offering this cover as an add-on if you would like to modify your current unit. The modification is attached with 4 M4-8mm machine screws (included with the cover) to the bottom of the Meanwell LRS600-12 power supply.

Please note that this cover's pre-drilled holes are designed only for the 600W Meanwell power supply. If you are using the 350W Meanwell power supply, your options are to either 1) Replace it with a 600W Meanwell power supply, or 2) drill your own holes in the cover to match the pattern on the base of the 350W power supply, or 3) don't buy this at all because the box works fine as it is.

In the photos you can see that the cover has a hole with a rubber grommet that faces the interior of the box. This is in case you want to wire your unit to accommodate one of the Ian Leake light integrators for controlling your exposures. You can see in the first photo I have attached the Ian Leake UV sensor to an L-bracket in this position for a box I use in my studio.

For most, if not all users, installing the Leake exposure meter is vast overkill. When I measure the clock exposure time of our units against the sensor controlled exposure the two measures are within +/- 5% every time. But the cover can accommodate this customization if you want to rewire your box for this capability.
